Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before placing an order with Alumni Print. By placing an order through our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms apply to all sales of prints, etchings, editions and related products made through www.alumniprint.co.uk.

1. About Us

Alumni Print is operated by James Parsonage.

References to “Alumni Print”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean Alumni Print. References to “you” or “your” mean the customer placing an order through our website.

2. These Terms

These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies referred to on our website, form the agreement between you and Alumni Print in relation to your purchase.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The Terms in force at the time you place your order will apply to that order.

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply.

3. Our Prints

Alumni Print sells prints and multiples, with a particular focus on etchings of colleges, universities and places of learning.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, our editions are created anonymously for Alumni Print. Artist names are not provided, and the anonymous nature of the work forms part of the identity of the project.

Each product listing will set out the key details of the relevant print, which may include the title, subject, print process, edition size, sheet size, image size, framing options and price.

Due to the nature of printmaking, minor variations may occur between impressions within the same edition. These variations are part of the character of the process and do not constitute faults.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product images are accurate, but colours may appear differently depending on your screen settings, device and display.

4. No Institutional Affiliation

Alumni Print is an independent business.

References to colleges, universities or other institutions are descriptive only. Unless expressly stated, Alumni Print is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by or officially connected to any college, university or institution depicted in our prints.

5. Product Descriptions

We take reasonable care to ensure that all product descriptions, images, prices and availability information on our website are accurate.

All dimensions are approximate and are usually stated in centimetres. Unless stated otherwise, dimensions refer to the sheet size or image size as described in the relevant listing.

If an item is materially different from its description, please contact us at sales@alumniprint.co.uk and we will work with you to resolve the issue.

6. Pricing

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling.

Delivery charges are not included in the product price unless expressly stated. Any delivery charges will be shown at checkout before you place your order.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Price changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted.

If a product is listed at an incorrect price due to an error, we are not obliged to supply it at that incorrect price. We will contact you as soon as possible and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel your order for a full refund.

7. Orders

By placing an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the relevant product subject to these Terms.

After you place an order, you should receive an order acknowledgement or confirmation by email. A binding contract is formed when we accept your order.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where necessary, including where a product is unavailable, payment cannot be authorised, there is an error in the listing, or we suspect fraudulent activity.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund you in full.

8. Payment

Payment is required in full at the time you place your order.

We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment provider.

We do not store your full payment card details.

Orders will not be dispatched until payment has been received in full.

9. Delivery

We take care when packing prints for dispatch and use protective packaging appropriate to the size and nature of the item.

We aim to dispatch orders within 5 working days of receiving payment, unless a different timescale is stated in the product listing or order confirmation.

Estimated delivery times will be provided at checkout or in your order confirmation. Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

We will provide tracking information where available.

Please ensure that the delivery address you provide is complete and accurate. We are not responsible for delays or failed delivery caused by incorrect or incomplete address details.

For international orders, you are responsible for any import duties, taxes, customs charges or local fees payable in your country.

If your order arrives damaged, please retain the original packaging and contact us as soon as possible at sales@alumniprint.co.uk with photographs of the damaged item and packaging.

10. Title and Risk

Ownership of the item passes to you once we have received payment in full.

Risk in the item passes to you once it has been delivered to the address you provided, or to a person nominated by you to receive it.

11. Returns and Cancellations

11.1 30-Day Returns Policy

We offer a 30-day returns policy.

You may return an eligible item within 30 days of receiving it, provided it is returned in accordance with these Terms.

To start a return, email us at sales@alumniprint.co.uk with:

your name;
your order number;
the item you wish to return;
the reason for the return, if you wish to provide one.

We will then provide return instructions.

11.2 Condition of Returned Items

Returned items must be:

in their original condition;
free from damage, marks or alterations;
unframed and unmounted if supplied unframed;
returned with any certificate, invoice or documentation supplied with the order;
packaged securely for return transit.

We may refuse a return or make a reasonable deduction from your refund if the item has been damaged, altered or handled beyond what is necessary to inspect it.

11.3 Return Postage

You are responsible for the cost of return postage unless the item is faulty, damaged, misdescribed or not as ordered.

We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured delivery service. You are responsible for the item until it has been received by us.

11.4 Refunds

Once we have received and inspected the returned item, we will process your refund to the original payment method.

Refunds will normally be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned item.

Where you are exercising your statutory right to cancel, we will refund the standard delivery charge as required by law. Additional delivery charges, such as express or premium delivery, may not be refundable beyond the standard delivery cost.

For returns made under our extended 30-day policy, we will refund the purchase price of the returned item. Original delivery charges may not be refunded unless required by law or unless the item is faulty, damaged, misdescribed or not as ordered.

11.5 Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your item is faulty, damaged on arrival, materially misdescribed or not what you ordered, please contact us promptly at sales@alumniprint.co.uk.

Where a return is due to fault, damage, misdescription or our error, we will cover reasonable return postage costs and offer a refund or replacement where available.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

11.6 Items Not Eligible for Change-of-Mind Returns

The following items are not eligible for change-of-mind returns unless faulty:

bespoke or personalised prints;
commissioned works;
custom-framed or made-to-order items;
items damaged after delivery.

12. Copyright and Image Use

Buying a print from Alumni Print gives you ownership of the physical item only. It does not transfer copyright or any intellectual property rights in the image, design or underlying work.

You may not reproduce, copy, publish, distribute, sell, license or commercially exploit any image, print or design purchased from Alumni Print without our prior written consent.

You may photograph and share your purchased print for personal, non-commercial purposes, including on personal social media accounts, provided that Alumni Print is credited where reasonably possible.

All images, designs, text and content on our website are owned by or licensed to Alumni Print and may not be used without our prior written permission.

13. Our Liability

We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our negligence.

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

We are not responsible for business losses. Our products are sold for private and domestic use. If you use them for commercial, business or resale purposes, we will not be liable for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.

14. Events Outside Our Control

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform our obligations where caused by events outside our reasonable control. This may include postal disruption, courier delays, strikes, severe weather, customs delays, technical failures or other events beyond our control.

15. Complaints

If you are unhappy with your order or our service, please contact us first at sales@alumniprint.co.uk.

We aim to respond to complaints within 5 working days and to resolve matters fairly and promptly.

16. Privacy

We will handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Personal information provided during checkout will be used to process your order, arrange delivery, communicate with you about your purchase and comply with our legal obligations.
